At SaNDAI, we believe AI skills are crucial for the future workforce. We created DataGen Scholars, a program introducing high school students to data analytics and generative AI to address this and allow them to obtain industry-recognized micro-credentials. The program is open to 9th through 12th-grade students from underserved and underrepresented communities.

At SaNDAI, we believe AI skills are crucial for the future workforce. The program is open to 10th—12th-grade students from underserved and underrepresented communities.

DataGen Scholars is a six-to 12-month virtual program that empowers students with essential data analytics and generative AI skills. This program levels the playing field, providing opportunities for students to excel in a data-driven world.

DataGen Scholars has two primary benefits

Why is DataGen Scholars needed?

The program fills a significant  gap in the educational landscape  by equipping high school students with essential technology skills and addresses three critical issues:

The program encompasses three key components:

Virtual Group-Based Webinars

These webinars provide students with fundamental knowledge in data analytics and generative AI.

Over the six months, students participate in 24 webinars and earn $15 per webinar.

Self-Guided Courses

Students deepen their understanding of data analytics and generative AI by completing 20+ online courses offered for free via our partner, DataCamp.

Students also have access to IBM SkillsBuild which offers over 1,000 courses on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analysis, cloud computing, and many other technical disciplines.

Micro-Job

The Micro-job offers students paid, hands-on experience over three months, allowing them to apply their newfound skills in real-world scenarios.

The Micro-Job allows students to gain

On-the-job training

Students work 80-100 hours monthly on various data analytics or generative AI projects for three months.

Compensation

Students are paid $15 per hour and earn a minimum of $3,000 for their efforts during the program.

Career Readiness

Students create resumes and LinkedIn profiles before completing the program.
DataGen Scholars enables students to “stack up” micro-credentials and build on their secondary school education, positioning them well for the jobs of tomorrow.

DataGen Scholars courses + Data Camp +IBM Skill Build is a great micro-credentials stack for high school students!
